End User License Agreement (EULA) — Math Paper (iOS)

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement" or "EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("you", "your", or "User") and Math Paper ("we", "us", "our"). It governs your access to and use of the Math Paper mobile application for iOS ("App"), including any related services, content, updates, and features.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the App.

1. License Grant

• Subject to your compliance with this EULA and any other applicable terms (including Apple App Store terms), Math Paper grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:

  • download, install, and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control; and

  • access and use the content and functionality of the App solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use (unless separate commercial terms are agreed in writing).

• All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Math Paper.

2. Restrictions on Use

You shall not, and shall not permit others to:

• copy, modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works of the App;

• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law;

• distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, loan, or otherwise transfer the App or any copies to third parties;

• remove, obscure or alter any legal notices, disclaimers, or proprietary notices contained in the App;

• use the App in any manner that violates applicable law or these terms, including for unlawful, abusive, harmful, or fraudulent activities;

• use the App to collect or store personal data of others without their consent or in ways that violate privacy laws or App Store policies;

• bypass or attempt to defeat any usage metering, licensing, or content protection mechanisms (including token usage checks);

• use the App if you are under the minimum age required by applicable law for consent.

3. Intellectual Property

• The App, including its code, features, design, graphics, user interface, and documentation, and all related intellectual property rights are and will remain the exclusive property of Math Paper or its licensors.

• You retain ownership of any content you provide to the App (for example, photos or images of math problems you upload). By submitting or uploading content to the App, you grant Math Paper a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to transmit and process that content for the purpose of generating solutions (including processing by third-party AI services).

• The App may display third-party content or use third-party libraries (for example, AVFoundation, PhotosUI). Those third-party copyrights and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

4. In‑App Purchases (Tokens)

• No Subscriptions: The App does not offer auto-renewable subscriptions. The App operates strictly on a pay-as-you-go model.

• Tokens and consumable purchases:

  • The App uses single-use tokens to process AI requests and generate solutions. You can acquire tokens by purchasing consumable token packages via Apple In-App Purchase.

  • Billing and payment processing are handled solely by Apple using your Apple ID. By purchasing a token package, you authorize Apple to charge applicable fees.

  • Tokens are virtual, non-transferable, have no cash value, and are tied to your anonymous device identifier.

• Refunds:

  • All purchases made via Apple are subject to Apple’s refund policies. To request a refund or dispute a charge, you must contact Apple Support or use your purchase history in your Apple account. Math Paper cannot process refunds directly.

5. Updates & Maintenance

• Math Paper may provide updates, patches, bug fixes, enhancements, or new features for the App. Updates may be automatic through the App Store.

• We have no obligation to provide any specific updates and may suspend, modify, or discontinue aspects of the App at any time.

• You agree that we may perform maintenance or take the App offline temporarily as needed. We are not liable for outages.

6. Termination

• This EULA is effective until terminated. Math Paper may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without notice, if you breach this EULA or violate applicable laws, third-party rights, or App Store rules.

• You may terminate this EULA at any time by uninstalling the App.

• Upon termination, all rights granted to you under this EULA will cease immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, Governing Law) will survive termination.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

• THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. MATH PAPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

• Math Paper DOES NOT WARRANT THAT the App will meet your requirements; operate uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; or that the results obtained from the use of the App (including AI-generated solutions) will be accurate, reliable, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

• You are responsible for verifying AI-generated mathematical solutions before relying on them.

8. Limitation of Liability

• TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL MATH PAPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOSS OF DATA).

• IN NO EVENT SHALL MATH PAPER'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MATH PAPER FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

9. Apple-Specific Clauses (iOS / App Store)

• The App is distributed via the Apple App Store. You acknowledge and agree:

  • Payments for in-app purchases are processed by Apple; Math Paper does not control Apple’s billing or refund policies.

  • Apple is not a party to this EULA, and Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no liability for claims relating to the App.

  • You agree to comply with all Apple guidelines applicable to the distribution of the App via the App Store.

10. Governing Law

• This EULA will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

11. Children & Privacy

• The App is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

• The App safely and anonymously transmits photos you provide to third-party AI processing providers as necessary to generate mathematical solutions. Personal data handling and our anonymous architecture are described in detail in our Privacy Policy available at: https://math-paper.forvibe.app

12. Updates to this EULA

• We may revise this EULA from time to time. If we make material changes, we will attempt to notify you via the App or our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated EULA.

13. Miscellaneous

• Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Math Paper from any claims arising from your breach of this EULA or your misuse of the App.

• Entire Agreement: This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and Math Paper regarding the App.

• Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
